Disney Cruise Line is preparing to launch another magical wedding destination at sea. Beginning February 3, 2028, couples will be able to hold weddings and vow renewals aboard the new Disney Believe—and the ceremony setting sounds spectacular.
As someone who had a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding, I can’t help feeling a little envious. I genuinely wish an experience like this had been available when I had my Disney wedding. Exchanging vows inside a Moana-inspired Grand Hall before sailing through the Caribbean would have been an incredible option to consider.
Here’s what Disney has confirmed about Disney Believe weddings, what remains unknown and what interested couples should do now.
Weddings Are Coming to the Disney Believe
Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings announced the new wedding offering on October 15, 2026.
Starting February 3, 2028, the Disney Believe will host wedding ceremonies and vow renewals in the ship’s Grand Hall. Inspired by Disney Animation’s Moana, this dramatic space will feature ocean-inspired details and sweeping architecture designed around themes of courage, adventure and following your calling.
The Disney Believe itself is scheduled to embark on its maiden voyage on December 18, 2027. The ship will sail four- and five-night itineraries from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, traveling to The Bahamas and the Caribbean.
Depending on the selected itinerary, a sailing may include a visit to one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s private island destinations:
- Disney Castaway Cay
- Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
That makes a Disney Believe wedding much more than a single ceremony. It can become a complete vacation shared with family and friends.

The Grand Hall Will Be the Wedding Venue

The Grand Hall will serve as the Disney Believe’s principal wedding and vow-renewal venue.
Disney has not yet released all the wedding-specific details, but the space is expected to provide a grand, ocean-inspired backdrop with design elements connected to Moana. For couples who love the film’s messages about family, exploration and finding your own path, it could be one of Disney Cruise Line’s most meaningful ceremony settings.
It also offers an indoor alternative to a traditional beach or outdoor cruise wedding. That can be especially appealing to couples concerned about heat, wind or changing weather.
Disney has not yet confirmed the Grand Hall’s wedding capacity, ceremony schedule or exact décor configuration.
When Can Couples Book a Disney Believe Wedding?
General cruise reservations for the Disney Believe opened October 19, 2026. Eligible members received earlier access beginning October 12.
Booking the cruise is only the first step. Disney says couples must reserve an eligible sailing before adding a Disney Fairy Tale Weddings package to the reservation.
The process should generally look like this:
- Select an eligible Disney Believe itinerary.
- Reserve the couple’s cruise accommodations.
- Contact Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings.
- Confirm that wedding availability remains for that sailing.
- Add the appropriate wedding or vow-renewal package to the cruise reservation.
Disney can accommodate only a limited number of celebrations on each voyage. A cruise reservation alone does not guarantee that a wedding time will be available.
Couples interested in an early 2028 ceremony should contact Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings promptly after reserving their sailing. They should also confirm wedding availability before encouraging a large group of guests to make nonrefundable travel arrangements.
How Much Will a Disney Believe Wedding Cost?
Disney has not announced a specific starting price for weddings in the Disney Believe’s Grand Hall.
Disney Cruise Line’s existing wedding program currently advertises:
- Onboard celebrations starting at $4,000
- Signature onboard celebrations starting at $6,000
- Island celebrations starting at $6,000
These are general Disney Cruise Line wedding prices—not confirmed Disney Believe prices. Because the Grand Hall is a prominent venue aboard a new ship, couples should not assume that its package will begin at the lowest published onboard price.
Disney’s current cruise-wedding packages generally include:
- An onsite ceremony coordinator
- Personal fresh floral selections for the couple
- A non-denominational officiant
- A solo pianist or keyboardist
- A wedding cake and Champagne celebration
- Attire steaming for the couple
- A commemorative Disney Cruise Line wedding certificate
- Select additional benefits based on the package
Existing package prices typically cover the couple and as many as 16 guests. Disney currently charges $20 for each additional guest age three or older when the venue can accommodate them.
However, Disney has not confirmed that these prices, guest allowances or inclusions will apply unchanged to the Disney Believe.

Remember: The Cruise Fare Is Separate
The ceremony package does not include the couple’s cruise reservation. Guests must also reserve and pay for their own accommodations if they plan to attend.
A realistic Disney Believe wedding budget may need to include:
- The wedding or vow-renewal package
- The couple’s cruise fare
- Guest cruise accommodations
- Flights or transportation to Fort Lauderdale
- A pre-cruise hotel stay
- Taxes, port fees and gratuities
- Additional floral, food or beverage options
- Photography or videography
- Hair and makeup
- Additional-guest charges
- Wedding attire and travel expenses
This makes the advertised ceremony-package price only one part of the overall budget.
Couples should also consider whether they will pay for any portion of their guests’ cruise fares or travel costs. Although that is not required, it can become a major budget decision for a destination wedding at sea.
Questions Couples Should Ask Disney
Until Disney releases a dedicated Disney Believe wedding package, prospective couples should request written answers to several important questions:
- Which Disney Believe sailings are eligible for weddings?
- What is the Grand Hall’s wedding-package price?
- How many guests can the venue accommodate?
- What services are included?
- What deposit is required?
- Is the wedding deposit refundable or transferable?
- When will the ceremony date, time and location be confirmed?
- Are photography packages available?
- Can couples bring outside photographers or other vendors?
- What happens if Disney changes the itinerary?
- Do holiday or high-demand sailings carry higher prices?
- What expenses do not count toward the package price?
Disney Cruise Line traditionally confirms ceremony locations and times closer to the departure date. Couples should ask how that policy will apply aboard the Disney Believe before making plans around a particular time or setting.
Why This Announcement Matters
The Disney Believe gives couples another way to combine a Disney wedding with a shared vacation. Instead of asking guests to travel for one ceremony and reception, couples can spend several days enjoying dining, entertainment, ports of call and time together at sea.
The Grand Hall may be particularly attractive to couples who want an immersive Disney setting without holding their ceremony inside a theme park.
For me, the announcement also brings back wonderful memories of my own Disney wedding. Our celebration was a true fairy tale, and I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything. Still, I have to admit that I wish a Disney Believe wedding had been available back then. A Moana-inspired ceremony followed by a Caribbean cruise sounds like an unforgettable way to begin a new adventure together.
For couples planning a wedding in 2028 or beyond, this new option deserves a place near the top of the Disney wedding wish list.
