I absolutely love this Disney Fairy Tale wedding cake. I don’t remember seeing this one when planning my wedding.

I still remember eating the top of my wedding cake on my one year anniversary. It was just as good as on my wedding day. I just love white chocolate. The white chocolate castle in this video looks so good…I just want to take a bite right now! Can you tell I’m hungry for some sweets?
I dug up this video that was shown on the Food Network a few years ago with Marc Summers hosting. I still remember when he was hosting Nickelodeon’s Double Dare game show…oops, I am showing my age.

I am having a Disney themed wedding With my colors being Dark blue, lavender and white. I really like the Happily ever after theme. I need help finding castle favors accessories and a castle cake topper and any other Disney ideas. Thank you very much.

I have almost come to the conclusion that Costco offers just about anything for your wedding. Now they are offering a $1 Million Dollar flawless diamond ring, go figure. Now you better hurry up because they only have one available! If you are one of the .05% of Americans that could afford this then it might be a good investment because the International Gemological Institute (IGI) values it at $1,496,255.  Anyway, it is an absolutely gorgeous ring, but I would be a nervous wreck wearing it anywhere.

Flowers

For most weddings you need to buy in bulk for many guests, and what a better match than Costco for buying in bulk. Costco online offers flowers and center pieces at bulk prices. From the many five star reviews from brides I’ve read on the Costco website, you can feel confident and at ease that the money you spend will turn into a beautiful floral display at your wedding or reception. Also, what is great is that they have overnight delivery.

And let’s not forget the food and drink! Costco can whip up all kinds of party trays for your special day, and they have a spectacular selection of champagne and wine.

I guess if you are more of a DIY type of person and want to save money, Costco would be a good place to help you in making the wedding of your dreams come true. And I didn’t even mention the travel deals which would help on your honeymoon!

There’s no two ways about it: weddings are expensive. Paying for every detail is enough to drain any family’s financial coffers and – even worse – leave them wrestling with debt. Especially for new couples paying their own way during the wedding, the expenses quickly add up. The following is a traditional guide to dividing expenses equally and fairly among the four major participants in planning the four main parts of the wedding celebration: rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and honeymoon. These are guidelines more than rules, and are intended to show tradition more than carved-in-stone etiquette.

The Bride’s Family

There’s a popular misconception among the unmarried of the world that the bride’s family foots the entire bill. That’s not entirely true, though unfortunately it may feel that way for the father of the bride! Traditionally, the bride’s family finances the reception dinner with all its facets: the food, drink, venue, service staff (including tips), flower arrangements, wedding favors, and any other miscellany. The bride’s family also pays for many of the necessities leading up to the ceremony: these usually include the bridal gown, the wedding invitations and save-the-date reminders, as well as the engagement and wedding photographs. Finally (!) the wedding ceremony costs, the photographer and videographer fees, the cost of the ring bearer and flower girl accessories, the transportation costs and bridesmaids bouquets are all picked up by the bride’s family. Honestly… if you’re the parent of a young girl, start saving right now.

The Bride

Compared to her family, the bride gets off relatively easy. Brides traditionally pay for the groom’s wedding band, gifts for her bridesmaids, the bridesmaids’ luncheon, her blood test fees, and the wedding day lingerie. In the strictest traditional sense, the bride should also pay for her out-of-town bridesmaids accommodations.

The Groom

Okay, guys. Time to pony up. Following the engagement ring (that two-month’s salary guideline is passé, by the way) you’ve still got a few things left to buy. You’ll pay for the honeymoon, the marriage license, and gifts for your groomsmen. The gentleman groom, however, also pays for the bridal bouquet and corsages for your mother and your new mother-in-law. You’ll also pick up the boutonnieres, ties, and accessories for the groomsmen, and finally the bride’s wedding ring. Gifts for the ushers and for your parents go the extra distance to showing your class. You should also pay the honorarium for the judge, justice of the peace, or clergyman who officiates the ceremony, too.

The Groom’s Family

Besides their own attire, the groom’s family is responsible for the rehearsal dinner and all its details.

The Maid of Honor

Bachelorette parties and wedding showers are the responsibility of the maid of honor. This includes all the details, top to bottom.

The Best Man

The best man is master of ceremonies and godfather of the bachelor party, from the planning to the execution to pouring all the guests into cabs at the end of the night. It’s a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it.

The Groomsmen and Bridesmaids

Most of the attire – for example, the tuxedo rental and costs of the gown – are the responsibility of the individual wedding party member. They also give a gift to the newlyweds. Disney.

Chose a Season: Central Florida has a reputation of warm sunny weather. But some times of the year are better than others.  Use this as a guide to help you chose the right month for your Disney Wedding.

1. January-February: Cold (60-50 degrees F) It may not sound cold to most, but when you are wishing for sunny tank top weather, your not going to find it here. The up side? It’s the least busy time for vacationers.
2. Later February-April: (70-80 degrees F) Spring break can bring vacationers, the weather is warm, but tolerable but there is a chance for spring thunder storms.
3. April- May (83-87 degrees F) Humidity is going to high, and it makes you feel hotter but most vacationers aren’t present.
4. June-August (90-97 degrees F) This is high season for vacationers as well as hotel rates. Hurricane season starts June 1st.
5. September- October (89-84 degrees F) The heat starts to lessen, after Labor day vacationers start to thin. The hotel rates start to lower. This is the peak of hurricane season.
6. November- December (85-71 degrees F) November is the most popular month for a Florida wedding, and hurricane season ends. Mid December starts getting busy with vacationers.

Chose the day of the week. While Saturdays are most popular Fridays and Sundays are becoming increasing popular. It is not unusual for the Grand Floridian\’s Wedding Pavilion to have multiple weddings a day, including weekdays.  Some Saturdays are booked up to two years in advance. This means that you may need to consider a weekday for your celebration.

Choose the time of day. Sunset weddings, morning brunch or even afternoon tea time weddings should be considered. Keep in mind you and your fiancée personality as well as guests that may attend. Some older guest and children may leave early at a late wedding reception.

Send ‘Save The Dates’ Early. If any of your guest are coming from out of town, you want to send you save the dates (STDs) early to give your guest time to plan.

Consider hiring outside vendors. When planning your wedding, you will be given package options including Djs, Photographers and Videographers. You may have some more flexibility if you hire an outside vendor. Orlando wedding videographers and other vendors can be found using a search engine.

Splurge on preserving your memories. You spend a year planning and then in 8 hours the whole thing is over. Make sure you preserve your memories. Hire a great Orlando wedding videographer and photographer so that you can relive those memories.

Go excotic. The Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian is the most popular venue at Walt Disney World but there are other wonderful venues you can wed. Get creative and marry at Epcot’s Paris or Italy. The decor is already set for a romantic wedding. Little to no additional decorating is necessary.

Plan a Vacation. If having your wedding at Disney is a destination wedding, and most of your guest are traveling for your wedding, make it easy for yout guest to make it a vacation. There are vacation homes that can be rented or a block rooms at a choice hotel.  You may be surprised how many people RSVP when the find out they can take a vacation as well as attend your wedding.
