It seems as though the day actually does goes this fast during your Disney wedding, at least mine did.

I absolutely love this Disney Fairy Tale wedding cake. I don’t remember seeing this one when planning my wedding.

I still remember eating the top of my wedding cake on my one year anniversary. It was just as good as on my wedding day. I just love white chocolate. The white chocolate castle in this video looks so good…I just want to take a bite right now! Can you tell I’m hungry for some sweets?
I dug up this video that was shown on the Food Network a few years ago with Marc Summers hosting. I still remember when he was hosting Nickelodeon’s Double Dare game show…oops, I am showing my age.

I know the latest and greatest Disney wedding dress designs are by Alfred Angelo but I found this video that reminded me just how beautiful the first Disney wedding dresses designed by Kirsten Kelly were. Do you agree? My favorite is the Belle dress.

Believe in Magic. If Walt Disney World is a land of magic it follows that it’s also a land of love. Amorous venues and storybook settings thrive in theland ofMickey Mouse. Here’s a step-by-step plan to help you light the spark that’ll put a twinkle in your lovebird’s eye.

Indulge Yourselves at Victoria & Albert’s. Fine dining in an intimate setting combined with virtually flawless service sets Victoria and Albert’s apart. You’ll be treated to Wedgwood china, Christofle silver, Frette linens, Riedel crystal, and even personalized menus. A seasonal prix fixe dinner includes six sumptuous courses served by an ultra-professional wait staff, accompanied by lovely strains of music plucked by a harpist. It’s simply the ultimate in romantic dining. The lady leaves with a long-stemmed rose, the gentleman with the proverbial feather in his cap.

Capture the Romance of an African Safari at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  And don’t dare book anything less than a savanna view room or suite so you’ll get as close to the action as you possibly can. Enjoy breakfast on your balcony while giraffes nibble at the tree tops and gazelles frolic on the grassland. Later, after a long day at the parks, a bottle of champagne will set the mood for an enchanting evening sunset followed by dinner at the resort’s signature restaurant, Jiko. And don’t worry if your travel plans don’t coincide with a full moon. In true Disney fashion a shimmery moonlit effect is on order each night to assure you of a romantic nocturnal setting. It really is one of Disney’s best themed resorts.

Send a Postcard from Paradise. The tiki-lit Polynesian Resort is almost as satisfying as a trip to the South Pacific. Soft Hawaiian melodies set a dreamy mood throughout the resort’s luxuriant grounds where ducks and ibis roam the thick, grassy lawns and rabbits hop along meandering pathways lined with volcanic rock. As the sky darkens, three white-sand beaches dotted with hammocks and lounge chairs entice you to relax with your sweetheart and take in the Magic Kingdom’s breathtaking fireworks spectacular.

Cozy Up For a Carriage Ride.  Bring your own beverages, a couple of glasses, and enjoy the moonlight and romance of the idyllic, pine-filled grounds at Disney’s Fort Wilderness. Your private horse-drawn carriage ride is a rare excursion through the scenery of old Florida, a fast disappearing way of life where a myriad of wildlife including deer, peacocks, ducks, and more still roam.

Pamper Yourselves With a Couple’s Spa Treatment.  Imagine relaxing together while enjoying the Romantic Couples Massage at the Grand Floridian Spa where each person receives an aromatherapy massage in a candlelit room. Choose an aromatic side-by-side massage in a beautiful Balinese-style treatment room, followed by a river-rocked rimmed hydrotherapy tub with The Time For Two Massage at the Walt Disney World Dolphin’s luxurious Mandara Spa. Or try a romantic duet at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Spa with the Couple’s Relaxation as you and your partner switch in the same room between an aromatherapy massage and hydrotherapy. Whatever your choice, you will emerge in a calm and romantic state-of-mind.

Hop On Board Your Own Personal Love Boat.  Rendezvous on your very own yacht for an intimate evening on the Seven Seas Lagoon aboard a 52-foot Sea Ray, the Grand I. Arrange for  hors d’oeuvres and wine onboard to toast the glorious evening in anticipation of a course-by-course dinner served by your own personal butler. End the evening on the glistening water with a spellbinding and oh-so-private view of the Wishes fireworks.

Stay In. One privilege of choosing one of Disney’s luxurious accommodations is the sheer enjoyment of it for its own sake and simply time alone. Plenty of room to spread out and luxuriate in comfy robes, listen to soft music on the stereo, order a nice bottle of wine, put your feet up, and just snuggle. And be sure to book a room with picture perfect views of one of Disney’s lovely waterways. It’s the perfect ending to a perfect day.

Stroll the ‘World’.  There’s nothing quite like Epcot’s World Showcase after sunset. The lights, the music, the restaurants, the quiet nooks, the entertainment – it all adds up to one exotic and entrancing place. Plan dinner at Bistro de Paris, a charming belle époque dining room with an air of exclusivity.  It’s the perfect setting for enjoying charming French accents and delicious cuisine prepared simply in tantalizing sauces. A dessert of crepe suzette prepared and flambéed tableside or the perfect apple tart with calvados while lingering over cordials and coffee is definitely my idea of a nightcap, itself romantically capped by Epcot’s spectacular Illuminations show.

Renew Your Vows. All this romantic talk is bound to ignite a desire to recharge your marriage with a fairy tale ceremony.  Choose from a variety of magical settings from a service overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon at the Polynesian or Grand Floridian Resort to a stunning backdrop of Cinderella’s Castle at the Magic Kingdom. Arrive in style in a vintage Rolls Royce or even a horse drawn carriage. Hire a bagpiper to play at sunset. Surprise everyone with a private fireworks presentation.  Really, just about anything your heart desires.

So if you believe in magic, I highly recommend Walt Disney World. It’s a surefire way to make your romance sparkle.

Celebrating the happiest day of your life at the happiest place on earth. Here are some tips to help you plan your wedding atprincess-wedding-dress-pictures-27.jpg

Disney.

Chose a Season: Central Florida has a reputation of warm sunny weather. But some times of the year are better than others.  Use this as a guide to help you chose the right month for your Disney Wedding.

  1. January-February: Cold (60-50 degrees F) It may not sound cold to most, but when you are wishing for sunny tank top weather, your not going to find it here. The up side? It’s the least busy time for vacationers.
  2. Later February-April: (70-80 degrees F) Spring break can bring vacationers, the weather is warm, but tolerable but there is a chance for spring thunder storms.
  3. April- May (83-87 degrees F) Humidity is going to high, and it makes you feel hotter but most vacationers aren’t present.
  4. June-August (90-97 degrees F) This is high season for vacationers as well as hotel rates. Hurricane season starts June 1st.
  5. September- October (89-84 degrees F) The heat starts to lessen, after Labor day vacationers start to thin. The hotel rates start to lower. This is the peak of hurricane season.
  6. November- December (85-71 degrees F) November is the most popular month for a Florida wedding, and hurricane season ends. Mid December starts getting busy with vacationers.

Chose the day of the week. While Saturdays are most popular Fridays and Sundays are becoming increasing popular. It is not unusual for the Grand Floridian\’s Wedding Pavilion to have multiple weddings a day, including weekdays.  Some Saturdays are booked up to two years in advance. This means that you may need to consider a weekday for your celebration.

Choose the time of day. Sunset weddings, morning brunch or even afternoon tea time weddings should be considered. Keep in mind you and your fiancée personality as well as guests that may attend. Some older guest and children may leave early at a late wedding reception.

Send ‘Save The Dates’ Early. If any of your guest are coming from out of town, you want to send you save the dates (STDs) early to give your guest time to plan.

Consider hiring outside vendors. When planning your wedding, you will be given package options including Djs, Photographers and Videographers. You may have some more flexibility if you hire an outside vendor. Orlando wedding videographers and other vendors can be found using a search engine.

Splurge on preserving your memories. You spend a year planning and then in 8 hours the whole thing is over. Make sure you preserve your memories. Hire a great Orlando wedding videographer and photographer so that you can relive those memories.

Go excotic. The Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian is the most popular venue at Walt Disney World but there are other wonderful venues you can wed. Get creative and marry at Epcot’s Paris or Italy. The decor is already set for a romantic wedding. Little to no additional decorating is necessary.

Plan a Vacation. If having your wedding at Disney is a destination wedding, and most of your guest are traveling for your wedding, make it easy for yout guest to make it a vacation. There are vacation homes that can be rented or a block rooms at a choice hotel.  You may be surprised how many people RSVP when the find out they can take a vacation as well as attend your wedding.

Orlando Wedding Videographer, Mary Angelini shares her tips she has learned from filming weddings.
