My fiance and I are looking to get married their in June 2011 after he gets done his tour of duty in Afghanistan. I wanted to hear from some people who have actually had weddings there. How are the consultants and planners? Did everything go smoothly for you? We are from New Jersey, so all of our guests will be traveling to Florida. I love Disney so much so this suits me perfectly. Any information on Disney Weddings would be great! Thanks in advance!!

I was at a bridal shop trying on dresses (hubby wants me to wear a dress for our renewal of vows). The sales associate brought over some wedding dresses without a train on it. One of the dresses was what I would call a fairy tale princess dress. Lots of lace, huge hooped skirt, long lace sleeves. I stepped out and OH MY GOD, I looked more like the ugly step-sister. All of that lace, my large bone frame… just made me shudder with disgust!
I then tried on a very simple dress, no lace, no hooped skirt. It was a very simple, emerald green, capped sleeved, empire waisted dress. The dress made my green eyes stand out. So I have pretty much decided that any dress that I buy for the renewal, will be made with very simple lines.
So ladies. Have you ever tried on a wedding dress that looked like a fairy tale on the hanger, but made you look like the ugly step-sister?
I’m looking forward to hearing your stories.

I love Anne Hathaway’s wedding dress in Princess Diaries 2. Anyone know where there’s a dress online that style?

My fiancé and I are getting married in mid-July and we booked a honeymoon at Disney World back the first of March. We both just recently graduated from College and are seeking jobs. The problem is neither of us has a definite job yet and the final payment for the honeymoon is due this Thurs. May 28. We have contemplated putting the final payment on her credit card and if we don’t get jobs then cancel the trip and the payment will be refunded, all except $100 dollars of the deposit i payed in March. The final payment is around $1,700. The problem with putting it on her card is that her mother goes through her mail and credit card statements and she is not able to make decisions for her self even though we are both adults and out of college. Also if we were to just cancel and rebook it if we get jobs before the wedding it will cost us more to book now at the cheapest hotel at disney and what we have booked is at a mid-line resort with all meals included, we actually saved $600 just by staying an extra night than originally planned. So I know this is long and I may have lost most people by not but for those that are still here, do you have any suggestions on what we should do? Or how we could pay for the honeymoon? We are confident that we will both have jobs before the wedding because its still a month and a half off. One last thing, I could put it on my credit card but my card is just a student card and my credit line is not big enough. Thanks for any suggestions!

PLEASE NOTE: We all know that Will and Liz are going to get married in a “romantic” CHEESY wedding.—–WHY?, you ask.
–BECAUSE…it’s Disney, and ever since Snow White, EVERBODY who was under Disney’s name found their “true love.” It’s all bogus to me but just “take a stab” at answering my question.

LOS ANGELES – Same-sex couples who want to exchange vows in front of Cinderella’s Castle now have the chance.
The Walt Disney Co. had limited its Fairy Tale Wedding program to couples with valid marriage licenses, but it is now making ceremonies at its parks available to gay couples as well.

So long story short my friend is getting married in Disney and I am in the wedding party.I got my own hotel but she offered her second room in her hotel to me since no one was using it anyway. I was very reatful for that. Then the grooms parents decided they were coming to the wedding and so I told her I didnt feel comfortable with staying there because she told me they were dirty and the father walks around in his underwear and I have never met them before. So she changed rooms so I would have my own suite with private bathroom and lock key entrance. I was really happy for that and I had told her I still had my hotel booked if I needed to go there I would but she said no.She has become very bossy about how she wants the dress and how she wants our hair and the shoes and I have went with everything. Then she told me last night that her sister is making shirts that say bridesmaids
and we are all wearing them to the rehersal, rehersal dinner and club after.I never wear t shirts and i would be very uncomfortable
in one not to mention I would never wear a t shirt to a chapel or ro a dinner or to a club.So I let her know I was not comfortable and this morning I find this email:
I am not very good at getting my feelings out. What you said to me tonight really hurt. I been dreaming about my wedding day since I was five. A few years ago no one thought I was ever going to get married. My mom got that spare bedroom on her new house because we thought it was going to have to be mine. So when xxx and I got engaged I have been planning this day over and over in my head for two years. Its finally almost here. I think my sister had a good idea about the shirts. I don’t want to argue about T-shirts. Its different and I like it. If I wanted it to be the same as everyone else’s I would have done the wedding here and had it in a church. I have a problem with always wanting to be different. I don’t want this to ruin our friendship but I am starting to get hurt inside and its just going to wind up ruining both of our vacations. . However, you said before that you have done everything I asked you to. Well to get off for your BBQ I actually had to sit down and bribe someone and I wound up working six days straight which is no biggie because I felt it was important to be there.
Any how I know you didn’t feel comfortable sharing the two bedroom with Larry’s parents sleeping in the living room. I sat there and figured it out with Disney to get the lock off studio and we were in the computer for a two bedroom regular (which I didn’t know at the time) me and Larry are giving up our bathroom to share with them with the shower and the whirl pool. we don’t really have a problem with it because you were coming down for our wedding and we all have to make sacrifices. The night before my shower I was a little hurt but I got over it. You were going to come over and hang out you said
you would be here at 7 and you wound up being two hours late and I understand **** happens. But when we went out I thought you
would be staying out with us before you and I never hang out anymore and you were saying how you cant stay long because you had
to meet up with people . I am not attacking you however sometimes I know I am hard to put up with when we are trying to make everything with our wedding go perfectly and I get stressed out. But like I said I think it was a good idea and everyone is subject to there own opinions. But this is something I really want and when my sister told everyone her idea everyone was willing to do so because its cute and different. So I am asking you to please wear the shirt and the flip flops
for me, for my wedding, and for the way that I want it to be done. I am not trying to be mean or to be a ***** like the broads from bridezilla but I am trying to get things out on the table so that my wedding will go smoothly. I know that people don’t like to do things and that some sacrifices need to be made and that is why we are sharing the bathroom with xxx parents.
Really is it just me or is she a total Bridezilla? I was so livid when I got this email this morning. I am suppose to met with her tonight to discuss it but I really dont know what to say.

I’m looking for a song for our wedding, I’d prefer a waltz count, but the only thing I can think of besides Disney songs is Piano Man by Billy Joel. I really need some help, any input is great, thanks.
