Activities
Grand Floridian Couples Massage

Couples massage at Disney’s Saratoga Springs or Grand Floridian Spa

Take a liesurely stroll around Bay Lake and the 7 Seas Lagoon – Magic Kingdom side.

The simple things like sharing a Mickey Bar on a park bench and watching the world go by

Magic Kingdom fireworks aboard the Ferry (outside the park – for free)! Board the ferry from the Transportation and Ticket Center around 9pm, head up to the top level and enjoy the view

Dining

Narcoosee’s – Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa: Be sure to ask for a window table so that you can enjoy the views. Book a later dinner (8pm-ish) to enjoy the lit water parade on the lake.

    View from Contemporary Resort

California Grill – Disney’s Contemporary Resort – Top Floor – This location is very pricey, but the food is out of this world and if you play it right, you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks. They shut off the lights, pipe in the park music and you have a perfect view…very romantic.

Coral Reef – EPCOT Park: The food is great, but the atmosphere can’t be beat! Book a lunch reservation to enjoy the same ambiance and about the same menu for half the price. We like to share a meal here – we each order a soup or salad (we love their seafood bisque or corn chowder) and then split the mahi mahi – then key lime tart for dessert).

After-Hours

Take a stroll around your resort at night when it’s all lit up. It’s very peaceful.

Bring some candles, bubble bath, and good music – then relax with a glass of wine in the jacuzzi tub (only in selected rooms in deluxe resorts). If you want to spice up the honeymoon a little more, don’t forget to put on the cute sexy Minnie Mouse costume. :-)

No matter what you do, you’re sure to enjoy a magical honeymoon at Disney World. Be sure to tell everyone you are celebrating while there!

Due to the happily ever after theme of every fairy tale, Walt Disney World fits right in the the romantic theme with many of the activities. Many couples choose to have the wedding celebration itself right at Disney World, but it’s also known as a honeymoon destination for many. If you can’t afford a round-the-world cruise for your honeymoon, you can still provide your just married interlude seem like you’ve visited all the romantic ports of call.

First, there are many areas at the vacation resort that are already themed internationally. The Island type accommodations at some of the hotels, the Epcot center with its emphasis on international culture and cuisine, the shopping which brings items from every part of the world are all tied to international activities, culture and cuisine. When you add to this setting the romantic atmosphere of the fairy tales, the luxurious accommodations and the exciting nightlife, you find the newly married couple can enjoy the honeymoon, as well as the repeat visits many of them plan for the next year and every year following.

The magic of the theme park in central Florida is not just for children. A different kind of magic can be enjoyed by the romantic couple. The whole concept of the park is romance and magic away from the day to day cares of life. Couples have taken advantage of the magic of Walt Disney World almost from the time that it opened. Walt Disney World is a great amusement park, but it’s also a prime location for beautiful beaches, deluxe spas, international cuisine dining and of course, the world’s greatest amusement park.

For your honeymoon location, the hotels and resorts at Walt Disney World are well aware that you want quiet time for your honeymoon and will place you when possible in accommodations which will give you peace and solitude far from noise, heavy traffic areas near the pools and elevators. The hotels which are actually located within the park will give you even more of the taste of Disney. You can enjoy your own private balcony while watching park scenery like Epcot fireworks.

Cinderella's Castle at NightIf you want to soak up the atmosphere of love and romance you can visit Cinderella’s Castle, or remember Beauty and her Beast. Perhaps your taste runs to one of the other Disney happily ever after princesses.

If watching brilliant fireworks from your hotel balcony doesn’t put you in a romantic mood, how about enjoying a romantic candlelight dinner in one of the famous cuisine experiences available to you as a guest at Walt Disney World. You can choose candles and romantic music at Cuban specialty restaurants, Italian cuisine, and of course American high class dining as well. It’s all found in your imaginary trip around the world to all the romantic port-of-call locations.

The AMC 24 Pleasure Island Theaters Complex is a great place to enjoy a movie experience for the two of you. Or, you can select an unforgettable show of acrobatics and daring physical artistry while watching the Cirque Du Soleil. This troop has been entertaining and astounding viewers all around the world. The Magic Kingdom parade features excitement, anticipation and enjoyment along with music to make sure that your viewing experience is absolutely top notch.

Maybe you’d like to take in the MGM laser show, or even use the monorail to participate in the circuit of the park by romantic train.

All in all, Walt Disney World in Florida is a wonderful and romantic place to celebrate the beginning of your married life. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort - Perfect for HoneymoonsIf your romantic vacation or honeymoon plans include Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, you might like to know a little more about some of the romantic Disney hotels close to the Magic Kingdom.

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort for Honeymoons1. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: With on-site facilities for Disney weddings and an elegant plantation atmosphere, the Grand Floridian is Disney’s most romantic hotel. We loved the private white-sand beach and pool areas, and the Grand Floridian Hotel is close to the Magic Kingdom – just a 2 minute Monorail ride.

Rooms feature scenic views of the Lagoon, and there’s romantic dining at Victoria & Alberts. Although it’s certainly not cheap, we feel the grand Floridian is the best choice for Disney honeymoon vacations.

Most Romantic Disney Honeymoon Suite?  The Grand Floridian Honeymoon Suites enjoy their own separate floor, private balcony and in-room jacuzzi whirlpool tub for two.

Disney's Polynesian Resort for Honeymoons2. Disney’s Polynesian Resort: You’ll be greeted with Polynesian music and a welcome lei at this romantic Disney resort. The tropical grounds and lakeside pool immediately grab your attention outdoors, while inside live Hawaiian music fills the lush courtyard and reception area.

Dining at the resort means trying some of the South Pacific specialties offered, like Tonga Toast, mahi-mahi, or of course, the Polynesian luau. Reader’s reviews of the Disney Polynesian Resort comment favorably on the island theme rooms, and as an added plus, the nightly Magic Kingdom fireworks can be viewed from the resort.

Tip: If you are on a honeymoon or anniversary at Disney World, mention it when you check in at the resort. I’ve heard reports of a few extra perks for romantic couples here on a special occasion!

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort for Honeymoons3. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge: You’ll love the National Park atmosphere at the Wilderness Lodge, and the clean and comfortable rooms, suites and villas come equipped with LCD TV’s. The ferry service to the Magic Kingdom is a nice way to arrive at Disney World. Romantic views of the fireworks at night can be had from some of the room balconies on the higher floors.

The Wilderness Lodge is a luxury Disney hotel catering a little more to families than the Grand Floridian or Polynesian resorts. The pool and river area features a water slide – great for parents on a romantic vacation with the kids. If you’re on a honeymoon or anniversary though, request a room in one of the wings a bit further away from the hustle and bustle of the lobby and check-in area.
