Will Airline Prices Drop By October?

My husband, daughter and I are vacationing in October. We’re going to Disney World and then Fort Lauderdale for my brother in law’s wedding. I’ve been looking at ticket prices (one way from each since we’ll be renting a car). They seem pretty low right now but I was wondering if maybe they’ll have specials for Fall flights before October? Should I purchase them now or just wait? Im not sure if it’s still to early but I don’t want to wait and then have to pay double.

Yes, I too am shocked at the prices this summer. Its very high. Try http://www.kayak.com when looking for flights and yes Southwest isa good option 2 if they fly there.

Typically, there is less demand for flying in October, so prices are cheaper than in the summer. But, your guess is as good as mine as to if they will drop from now until the fall.

I think you should buy them now because ticket are generally more expensive when you buy them closer to your travel date. If you wait until Oct. to buy them, you probably will pay more. I went on a trip a few months ago and I remember looking at ticket prices 5 days before my departure date. It was more than what i actually paid for and it was a domestic trip.
You should also see how much Southwest flights are. Southwest have pretty good deals….http://www.southwest.com

There is no telling if they will drop you will just have to what and see but you can choose a different airline there are some that have really low prices I just read in an article that Southwest, and JetBlue were the cheapest and the best airlines in America so if I were you I would consider those two.
