The history of Claddagh rings is somewhat limited in fact, but it is more fun to review the legends that have grown up around the appearance of this fine example of beautiful craftsmanship representing the themes of loyalty, love, friendship and romance. The mystery whether there was actually a prince who loved a commoner so much that he could convince the maiden’s father that his motives were honest and trustworthy is one of the interesting versions that have grown up around the origin of the ring. This version relies on a story that could be true and that people would like to be true, since the only magical and mysterious element in this Claddagh ring fairy tale is the magic of true love.
A Likely Origin
Another wonderful Claddagh ring story which also portrays true love is that of Richard Joyce or Joyes who spent 14 years learning the jeweler’s craft as a slave. He did his work so well that his master was willing to let Joyce marry his only daughter. Instead, Joyce returned to his native village of Claddagh and presented his lady with the ring he had fashioned during the years of captivity. She had evidently remained just as faithful to him as he was to her and they were married, using the ring known thereafter as the Claddagh ring as a wedding ring.
Distance
Certainly in the Richard Joyce Claddagh ring story, the concept that true love and loyalty is not affected by distance from the other party is displayed as a perfect example of such love. In the mid 1700s when the Claddagh ring was designed, the distance between the West Indies and Ireland was enormous in many ways. There was a great distance in cultures, geography, living style and every other possible facet of the term. In the days of instant chat and cell phones, it is hard to imagine loving someone and being unable to contact them for years at a time.
Separation
Physical separation from a loved one is hard. To consider being separated for months or even years is nearly inconceivable in the modern world, yet Joyce and his lady willingly determined that they would be separated for a relatively short term in order to meet the financial needs brought about by their impending commitment to each other. The Claddagh ring that he designed and created during a time of separation that extended to years is a thing of beauty, yet it also represents a beautiful display of steadfast commitment to another person. It is a shining example that more couples should be willing to emulate.
Homecoming
Of course, the happy ending of the Claddagh ring story makes it popular as well. Joyce was able to be freed from his slave master, refusing all enticements of love, wealth, and respect to return to a totally unknown reception in Ireland’s Claddagh village. The fact that the Claddagh ring design has survived and is well loved globally is a trophy to the success of happily ever after stories even today.

Wedding preparations for you Phoenix dream wedding is all set. Every single detail from hiring your wedding photography Phoenix to the wedding favors is all taken cared of. Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life and the greatest way to remember this once in a lifetime event is through your wedding photographs. Naturally, you would want to look like a beautiful and blushing bride in each and every photo. It is essential you devote extra attention to your skin, hair and make up. Here are some tips to make sure you look radiant and flawless on your big day.
? The most important thing to consider to achieve beautiful weddings photographs is to hire a professional wedding photographer. An experienced photographer will give amazing images which will last you a lifetime.
? You should avoid tight curls and complicated hairstyles. This will look unnatural in photos. Keep it simple and elegant. If you are planning to wear a dramatic veil for your walk down the aisle, look for a style where you can detach some part of it during the reception.
? Do not be afraid to experiment with your eyeshadow. You do not need to follow any kind of rule. Use a light shade shadow at the inner corner of your eyes if you want to create an illusion of bigger eyes. Then apply a darker shade of eyeshadow at the center of your lids.
? It is important that you wear waterproof mascara. You will never know if you will get teary eyed in your big day. Black mascara will surely run and leave unflattering raccoon eyes. You should also encourage everybody in the wedding entourage to use waterproof mascara to avoid smudging.
? You will need a good foundation. The technique is to put moisturizer first to prime your skin. Apply a matte foundation, then a concealer. Dust powder foundation using a brush.
? Carefully fix a smudged eye make-up. You should be very cautious in fixing a smudged eye make up because if you smudge it more then you might have to wipe it off completely and start all over again.
? Bridal make up should look soft and romantic. Using natural pinks will make you look like a blushing bride. Lipsticks should also stick to pinks and brownish pinks.
? Bring a small pouch that matches your wedding gown. This will hold your pressed powder, lipstick and blush when you need to retouch before the reception.
? Remember to prevent breakouts on your face. Even if you are tired preparing for your wedding day, you should always remember to wash your face twice a day and don’t forget to remove makeup before going to bed.
? Instruct the wedding photographer to take pictures right after the ceremony when everybody’s makeup is still intact. You can also opt for black and white photos to create a soft and romantic feel to the images.
And lastly, the most important advice on how to look beautiful in your wedding photos is to enjoy your special day. The sincere happiness and contentment you feel on your wedding will surely shine through your wedding photography Phoenix. Always remember that regardless of what you wear, a woman’s beauty comes from within.

I’m getting married in May and my daughter will 13 months then. After the wedding me and my fiance are going on a 2 week cruise, but after, we are going to take our daughter to Disney World as a second part of the honeymoon/family trip.
At first we were going to have my step-mom and dad watch her while we were on the cruise and they were really excited about that. My fiance also said it would be good so she wouldn’t have to leave our town, like she would if we had his parents watch her.
Well, my fiance’s parents are flying down next week and are staying with my fiance’s sister until the wedding. They just found out though, that we are having MY parents watch our daughter. When we explained that our daughter couldn’t really take a 6 hour plane ride to California where they lived they said, “But she can take a 3 hour plane ride to Disney when you go?”
Now they are very mad and my fiance says he won’t deal with them, so I have too. How can I explaint that it makes more sense (c)

Rajasthan Vacations
Vacations, holidays…wow these words are simply refreshing. And if these things are in an exotic, royal, heritage place then nothing like it. Yes ! I am talking about Rajasthan – a wonderful state in the North of India rich in culture and heritage. Rajsthan is one of the favourite destinations among the tourists of the world. This exotic land was once the land of the Rajas and the state is rich in palaces, forts, havelies and monuments. Similarly the culture of the state is rich in music, dance, fairs and festivals and delicious cuisines.
Back Ground of the State
A tour to Rajasthan has so much variety for the tourists that some times it becomes arduous task to decide- where to start. Different landscape of the state are really mesmerizing like the huge forts and palaces of Jaisalmer on the back drop of desert, on the contrary quaint lakes of Udaipur with white palaces. While Mount Abu, Ajmer, Pushkar cuddles the Aravalli and Jaipur stands as a pink city. Sariska, Ranthombore, Bharatpur stand apart as wild life sanctuary in the state. The state bears the history of the bravery, war, kings, culture etc. The palace turned hotel of Rajasthan give the feeling of that era.
Famous Places in the state
All most all the places of Rajasthan alluring. But among them the famous places are -Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan is also known as the pink city of India because of the pink hues in the building and houses. Hot spots in Jaipur are Amber fort & palace, Hawa Mahal, Birla Temple, City Palace Museum and of course the market place. Next we can talk about Jaisalmer, a city of desert lovers. Here the famous Golden Fort located in the heart of the desert. Camel safari, camp fire, folk dance and music are prime tourists attractions of the Jaisalmer. Sometimes it gives the impression of Arabian Nights. Udaipur takes tourists to the glorious romantic past. The boat cruise in the lake Pichola amidst the picturesque city palace is nothing less then a fairy tale stories. Ajmer, Pushkar the land of Sufi saint and the land of Brahma respectively takes us to the religious world. And hold …this not the end, for the wild life lovers there are Ranthambore, Sariska and Bharatpur with lots of wild animals and birds.
Fairs festivals and Culture
Rajasthan is also called the land of festivals and fairs. Through out the year the people of Rajasthan celebrate something or other. There are festivals like -camel festivals, Jaisalmer desert fair, summer festival Mount Abu, Elephant festival Jaipur, Pushkar Fair and so on. All the festivals of Rajasthan display the colourful variety of the state. Rajasthani men with their colourful turban and women with their long ghagra choli give the festivals a different look. Talking about the culture – oh it is really royal the etiquettes of the local people, music, dance are amazing. Hence we should not forget about the food of Rajasthan. The dal bati churma, Gatti ki Sabji, Khadi and different halwas are some of the mouth watering dishes of Rajasthan.
In short Rajasthan is a mixture of tradition and modernity. Cities like Jaipur and Udaipur are some happening cities in the country. People around the globe come here to perform the wedding. It is a land for those who like to taste the different spices of life. A vacation in the royal cities of Rajasthan is truly a life time achievement.

Admit it. The day your boyfriend asked you to marry him, regardless of how his marriage proposal came about, and you happily accepted it was one of the high points of your relationship. And the events that followed -dinners in your honor, good-natured ribbing from family and friends, deeper relationship – were just icing on the engagement cake.
At some point, however, you have to land back to Earth from your heavenly perch. You have to successfully deal with pre-wedding fights before you can even think about sending out your wedding invitations. Otherwise, you can run the risk of runaway grooms and brides. Sad but true.Money
Unfortunately, even the wealthiest of couples will fight about wedding expenses. This is because the traditions for sharing wedding costs vary from one culture to the next, such that even the issue of who pays for the wedding invitations varies depending on who does the asking and who answers the question.
Nowadays, the traditional rules about who pays for what are constantly being changed. Basically, it all depends on your financial capacity as a couple and the support system you have in the money area. Whatever arrangements you decide on as a couple, be sure to both be firm and flexible, from your wedding caterer to the wedding invitations.
On another future issue of money, you might also want to look at prenuptial agreements to protect your assets. Though this is a contentious relationship issue, you have to think about asset protection. Besides, this can be a very good exercise for trust, commitment and love.Territory
Unless you are one of the lucky few whose fianc? wants to get married wherever you want to get married so long as he puts that wedding ring on your finger, you can fight about where you will get hitched. This is bad news as you have to consider his wishes, too, since you cannot get married to your self!
You must thoroughly discuss the personal reasons for each of your choices. Is it because family is nearer? Is it because expenses must be controlled? Is it because the place holds special meaning? Whatever the reason, you have to be willing to compromise and consider your partner’s reasons as valid in their own right.
Plus, you have to consider that you cannot retrieve all the wedding invitations you have already mailed and you will be spending more than your budget if you vacillate between venues!Family
Unless you are both orphans, you must expect family issues to come to the fore during the pre-wedding planning. You have to keep in mind that not only will you be sharing a bed and a house with your future husband but you will also be sharing families! As old-fashioned as it sounds, you are marrying into a family.
And there is also the issue of who gets the lion’s share of the wedding invitations. You have to discuss whether you want to invite his obnoxious and rude uncles, pesky nieces and nephews to the wedding. You have to talk it out with your partner about who will be invited to the wedding from both your sides such that you arrive at an equitable number that you will both be satisfied with.
When you have substantially and successfully resolved these three pre-wedding fights, you are well on your way to pulling off your dream wedding with little damage to your relationship. Start sending out those wedding invitations!
