This isn't some random 3rd cousin twice removed stranger - it is your fiance's MOTHER. I think it's really sweet of you to consider the financial investment of your guests, but for someone as important as your fiance's mother, I think postponing the wedding is a decent option and that everyone will understand. I hope your mother-in-law regains her health, and that you all have a wonderful time! Congratulations!
