Have you ever watched the Today Show where the viewers get to pick out the wedding dress, the wedding cake, the honeymoon, etc? Well, now one lucky couple will be able to have millions in the MySpace social network pick every detail of the “wedding of their dreams”. “Married on MySpace” will be the name of the new online reality series starting May 15th.  Video submissions will be accepted online here until April 17th. Disney is one of the major sponsors of the contest to coincide with the release of their upcoming movie “The Proposal” with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. The Knot will be giving their wedding planning advice and be providing editorial content.

Finalists will be announced on April 24 and then MySpace users will be able to start voting for their favorite couple. Also, users will be able to vote for other aspects of the wedding such as location, dress, flowers, registry, and bachelor party. The chosen couple will be announced in May when the 13-webisode series begins. It will conclude in early August with the wedding ceremony.

A wedding ceremony is something that could be connected with fashion. Just as the ramp updates its yearly collection, so does wedding trends. I came across another amazing looking castle cake (pictured to the left) from another beautiful Disney Bride that was posted on the The Knot. Here’s what the bride said about the cake:

“I drew a picture of my cake and the magical Disney Pastry Chefs took it from there. Green fondant with red and brown accents, green Cymbidium Orchids and a castle topper. The flavors were red velvet cake with cream cheese, marble cake with Bailey’s mousse, and dark chocolate cake with raspberry mousse. It tasted amazing! Our reception was held at Disney’s Contempory Resort’s California Grill overlooking The Magic Kingdom.”
