Fairy tales that have been told for generations have been assimilated into Disney films to carry on the fantasy of every girl becoming a Princess one day. These films have created a certain aesthetic that has shaped the way that a girl grows up wanting to be the belle of the ball and possibly be swept off her feet by her very own Prince Charming. From high school proms to weddings, the theme of ball gowns and tiaras has permeated the desires of grown women. Before the Disney phenomenon tiaras were exclusive to papal ceremonies and royalty, but now every girl can have her dream come true thanks to Walt’s animated fairy tales.

The desire to dress up in an amazing dress and wear sparkling jewellery seems ingrained in western culture. From a young age girls put on their mothers clothes, wear their shoes and drape themselves in all that glitters in a make believe game of being a princess. Although the desire to be the centre of attention and the most beautiful of them all has been around for thousands of years, the fashions associated with it have in fact changed relatively recently. princess-wedding-dress-pictures-26Ok, so I have looked at lots of wedding dresses over the past week and have picked out the ones that I think would be defined as a Princess wedding dress. Just what is the criteria for a Princess wedding dress, anyway? I think the designer of Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding Collection, Kristie Kelly, says it best – “Cinderella is classic glamour”. We all want to look and feel glamourous at our wedding. Also, a Princess wedding dress brings with it a certain amount of nostalgia, not to mention classic ideas of romance, chivalry, and happiness. Enjoy the pictures!

Ok, so I have heard a lot of buzz on the internet and in numerous blogs about a rewards program called Sunshine Rewards. Several blogs owners have mentioned that they basically pay for their Disney vacation by earning Disney Dollars as a reward in this program. Sunshine Rewards is a loyalty program where you get paid to do things you normally do online such as online shopping and giving your opinion. When something usually sounds too good to be true then you start to wonder the legitimacy of it.

Well, I dug into my research on Google and found lots of praise and great comments about the program, so I decided to try it. I am now signed up and will start to take the daily surveys and see how much money I can earn. I just need to make sure that before I do any shopping online I first check their list of merchants like Target (wedding and baby registries included!), Walmart, Amazon, Kohls, Disney Shopping, and 100′s more before I buy so that I can earn rewards for the purchase.

So, can I earn my next trip to Disney World with this program alone? I will try and let you know of the progress. If you want to join with me and share in the progress, then you can sign up at their website SunshineRewards.com for free and get $2.00 instantly credited. Anything for free is worth a shot and they already gave me $2.00 for signing up! :-)
