Rare Magic Kingdom Wedding

4 May 2008 4 Comments

Cinderella CastleLast night I was flipping through the channels and ran across the Food Networks’ Fantasy Weddings. They showed a couple that had their Disney Wedding in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Now, you might say there are lots of people that get married in front of Cinderella’s Castle. Yes, there are, but not while the park is open to guests. Being that both my husband and I used to work for Disney we were like, “Wow, this is rare!” These highly expensive Disney custom weddings usually only take place after-hours when the park is closed.  I would have to say the only reason they were allowed to have their wedding while guest were still in the park was because of the Food Networks production of it. The wedding first started off with the bride and groom being driven down Main Street USA towards the Castle, with all the days paid guests (not just wedding guests) seeing all the action and excitement. The ceremony then took place on the stage in front of Cinderella’s Castle with the reception following in the Rose Garden off to the right of the Castle. It was a very lavish event with LOTS of food and to top it off a fireworks display afterwards.  A couple of words to describe it would be “Magical” and “Expensive”. This was definetely a six figure wedding so most of us will never be able to experience this except for on tv. If you would like to catch this beautiful Disney Fairy Tale Wedding the Food Network is airing this episode a couple more times this month on May 10th @ 7PM EST and on May 11 @ 6PM EST.

Is there any way at all you could track down a picture of her dress?! I am in love with it and cannot seem to track down any information on it, not even a picture of it! If you come across anything, please let me know!!
